Irvinestown’s Kyran Maguire has been enjoying the job of a lifetime this week as a Barclay’s Ball Boy at the ATP World Finals between the top eight tennis players in the World at the O2 Arena.
A highly talented player himself, Kyran was selected as a ball boy for the tournament and therefore had a great close especially on Monday as Andy Murray took to the court as world number one.
The atmosphere was electric as Murray was introduced to the crowd and received a standing ovation from his home supporters.
Kyran was on duty as Murray eased to a straight sets win. The action is only sure to get better as the week culminates in the final on Sunday where everyone will be hoping for a showdown between Murray and Novak Djokovic. Whatever happens, Kyran will have the best seat in the house and an inspirational experience that he is sure to never forget.
