A recent Rotary evening at Colebrooke Park, attended by over 100 guests, proved a most enjoyable event.
Viscount and Viscountess Brookeborough kindly granted the use of their home and garden to the Rotary Club of Enniskillen for the special evening held on Friday, June 3, 2016.
A reception was held in the beautiful gardens at Colebrooke, where a group of international musicians from Sligo provided musical entertainment. Norman Coalter of Saddlers provided the buffet supper for the guests.
“Everyone enjoyed the relaxed surroundings of Colebrooke Park,” said President Ken Rainey. He mentioned that the proceeds of the evening are being donated to Operation Rescue in Ethiopia, the charity that Kate Doherty has been involved in for over 10 years.
Ken informed the guests that a mission team from Enniskillen Presbyterian Church are going out to Ethiopia to support the work this August and the money raised will help support projects that Operation Rescue is involved in.
Joanne Rainey, Ken’s daughter, gave a talk on Operation Rescue during the gathering at Colebrooke Park.
President Ken felt it was “a fantastic night” with a great venue and the weather played a great part. He said they wished to thank Lord and Lady Brookeborough for the use of their home for this special occasion.
As a result of this event £2,000 was raised and has been presented to Kate Doherty of Operation Rescue. Photos courtesy of Roy Crawford.
