Enniskillen Royal Grammar Medallion 17
Coleraine Medallion 0
Enniskillen Royal Grammar School Medallions have made it into the final of the Subsidiary Shield after a convincing 17-0 over Coleraine at Castle Lane on Thursday afternoon.
The ERGS lads kept the opposition scoreless and plundered three tries one of which was converted to run out deserving winnners, a victory that sets up a final showdwon with Down Hogh with the time and venue to be confirmed.
ERGS started well and took the game to their opponents and took the lead when Callum Smyton crossed the tryline to make it 5-0. ERGS doubled their lead before the break with another unconverted try, this time it was Ben Thompson touching down to put the Enniskillen seat of learning in contol.
Coleraine never gave up and were always in the game until Aaron Crawford scored a try whoch was converted by captain Robbie Mills to seal the win at 17-0.
The Medallions, coached by Josh Kennedy and Connor Keys, will now look forward to the final at a neutral venue, sometime next week probably.
Joint coach Josh Kennedy commented: "It was a good win and the boys were dominant although a few errors nearly let Coleraine back into the game. It was a whole squad performance with the substitutions making an important impact as well."
