Enniskillen Rangers 3 Strathroy Harps 0
Enniskillen Rangers won tonight's title decider against Strathroy Harps to lift the Mercer Cup at the Ball Range.
Michael Kerr's 'Gers went into the final game of the season trailing the Harps by two points but in the end they were comfortable winners as two goals from Mark Cutler and one from Jason Keenan sealed a 3-0 victory.
The lively Cutler opened the scoring in the 17th minute for the home side. Stephen Chambers spread a good ball from the centre of the park out to Christopher Currie on the left and he skipped past a defender before delivering a low ball across the goal for Cutler to slot home.
Strathroy pressed hard in the early stages of the second half but it was Rangers who were to put one hand on the cup just after the hour mark as Keenan doubled their advantage.
A great ball down the left by player-manager Kerr found Keenan and he did superbly to,hold off Michael Logue before rounding Harps goalkeeper Niall McCrory and producing a composed finish.
And the destination of the Mercer Cup was put beyond doubt six minutes from time as captain William Burleigh teed up Cutler who took a touch before firing past McCrory to leave it 3-0 at the finish.
