JOHN SLOAN

SLOAN John 3rd October 2020 We, the family, of the late John Sloan including his sister Veronica Hamill, Ballygawley wish to extend our deepest thanks and heartfelt gratitude to all those who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement. We wish to extend sincere appreciation to all who called at the family home to sympathise and all who brought gifts of food, telephoned, sent Mass and sympathy cards. To all those who were present at our home on the morning of his funeral, to those who lined the funeral route and were present at the chapel and during his burial. A special word of thanks to Fr. Kevin Duffy and Canon Mc Gourty for all their visits to Dad at his home during his sickness. Our sincere thanks to Fr. Damian Bresnahan (SMA) for concelebrating the Funeral Mass alongside Canon Mc Gourty. Thanks to Eleanor Farry and Vincy for the beautiful music. Thanks also to the readers Dominick, Colleen and Catherine and Rosemary the Eucharistic minister. Thank you to the staff of Irvinestown Health Centre for their care of Dad especially Dr. Brenda Toner for her caring, compassionate manner. To Breegeen McKervey and all her District Nursing Team who went over and above for Dad. A big thanks to Laura Hegarty Social Worker who organised all his home help and all the carers from Lakeland and Northwest who made Dads stay at home possible for us they done a fantastic job. We as a family cannot thank the Marie Curie nurses enough for all the nights they looked after Dad and made him so comfortable treating him love and compassion. A special thanks to Brendan Lilley and staff of The Medical Hall for their attention and kindness over the years. To all the staff in Ward 8 SWAH for the care and attention they gave to Dad during his stay in hospital. To Jim Barnett and Pat Britton for carrying out Dads funeral and arrangements, and to John Noble for preparing Dads final resting place. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually for their support we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation. Johns Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday November 1st at 11 am in Sacred Heart Church, Irvinestown. Rehall Irvinestown, Barr Road Trillick, Moy and Ballygawley.
