Gerry Mc Elroy
Mc ELROY Gerry Moughley, Lisnaskea 6th April 2024 Gerry's daughter Cliodhna and her partner Joe along with the McElroy and McDermott families wish to thank most sincerely all our extended family, neighbours, friends and work colleagues who supported us following Gerry's untimely death. We deeply appreciate all those who called to pay their respects at Swift & McCaffrey Funeral Home, stood along the route from Gerry's home to Holy Cross Church and attended Gerry's Funeral Mass. A special word of thanks to Canon Jimmy McPhillips, Canon Kevin Duffy, Fr. Brian D'Arcy and Fr. Pearse Mullen who celebrated Gerry's Funeral Mass. Many thanks to Karen and Sinead for the beautiful singing and music during the Mass. Thank you also to the Parish stewards, Sacristan and Lay Minister for their valued assistance. Our sincere thanks also to Monsignor Peter O'Reilly for his spiritual support to Gerry on his arrival in hospital. Thank you to everyone who sent cards, letters, made telephone calls or posted condolences online which provided great support to the family. A very sincere thank you to Leo and all at Swift & McCaffrey Funeral Directors for the dignified and caring manner in which they carried out the Funeral arrangements. Our deepest gratitude to all who provided beautiful food and refreshments during this very difficult time and to Norman Coalter, The Horseshoe & Saddlers for the excellent catering provided in the Parish Hall following Gerry's Funeral Mass. Thank you to B. McCaffrey & Sons Ltd, Lisnaskea Emmetts GAC, Errigal Ciaran GAC and the GAA Community who formed Guards of Honour on the morning of Gerry's Funeral. At this time, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the First Responders and Paramedics who attended Gerry in his home as well as the staff of The Emergency Department South West Acute Hospital and the Staff of The Intensive Care Unit, Altnagelvin Hospital for the excellent care afforded to Gerry. Your professionalism and kindness will never be forgotten. We would also like to acknowledge the generosity and thoughtfulness of all those who sent donations in lieu of flowers. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Gerry's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church, Lisnaskea on Sunday 5th May 2024 at 11am.
