SIMMONS Ellen Died 2nd April 2024 Crilly, Pettigo Co Donegal The Sons, Daughters and extended family of the late Ellen Simmons would like to thank everyone for their love and support shown to them during the sudden loss of Ellen. To family and friends who attended the Wake and Funeral from near and far, thank you. To everyone who sent sympathy and Mass cards and thoughtful messages through social media, as well as those who made donations to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association and Cardiac Unit SWAH, we are very grateful. To all the friends and family who visited the hospital in Ellen's final hours, thank you for your love and support. To everyone that helped out at the Wake, we are eternally grateful. To all those who brought gestures of food, your generosity was overwhelming. A special word of thanks to those who organised traffic and parking, it was seamless. To Stephen Moss for everything you done over the Wake and Funeral; thank you. Thank you to Scraghey Community Hall for the use of their catering equipment. A special thank you to the Medical Teams who cared for Ellen throughout the years during various bouts of ill health. Especially in recent times Professor Monica Monaghan, the Doctors and Staff at Ederney Surgery and Eugene McGrade Pharmacist. A special thank you to the Staff in SWAH Ward 1, their kindness shone through in Ellen's final hours. A personal thank you to her carer Edna, your friendship, kindness, patience and empathy towards Ellen will never be forgotten. Thank you to all who prepared Lettercran Chapel and Hall, and to the Gravediggers who prepared Ellen's grave. Thank you to Mairead, Bernie and Vincy for the beautiful singing in the Chapel and at the Graveside. Thank you to Paul Kelly and Team for the refreshments in the Hall afterwards. Thank you to Monsignor O'Reilly for saying final prayers with Ellen in SWAH. Thank you to Fr. Flynn and Fr McManus for the Requiem Funeral Mass. A final thank you to Pat Britton and Jim Barnett for their dignified and professional manner in which the Funeral arrangements were carried out. As it's not possible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgment will be accepted as an expression of deep gratitude and sincere appreciation to all. The Holy Sacrifice of Mass will be offered for your intentions. Ellen's Months Mind Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Church, Lettercran, Sunday 5th May at 9:30am.
