GILROY James 18th December 1943 - 23rd May 2022 "We little knew that day, God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death, we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone, For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you, You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, And the Barrs will never be the same. The fact that you are gone, Will always cause us pain. We think about you James, With tears upon our cheeks. We recall you on the Mountain, With your briar pipe in hand, With puffs of smoke a billowing, Oh how you loved the land. Your favourite time of year, On a lovely summers day. Mowing on your tractor, Tolling and making the hay."
