There has been immense sadness following the death of Mrs. Emma Craig on April 7, 2020.
Emma passed away peacefully at Omagh Hospital.
Emma was born in Fermanagh but went to work in England at a young age. Emma worked as a nanny for a Jewish family for several years and then went to St. Mary’s Hospital to train and work.
It was while on holiday in Fermanagh that Emma met her beloved ‘Jim’, Robert James Craig MBE.
They married and moved to London where they both lived and worked on a private estate in Central London. Their three children, Margaret, David and Yvonne were born there.
Many years later they returned to live in Maguiresbridge. Emma worked in the County and Erne Hospitals until her retirement. Emma sadly lost her dear husband Jim in 1998 after 45 years of happy marriage.
Emma moved to Ballinamallard last year and continued in good health until a few weeks before her death.
Emma is greatly missed by her three children Margaret, David and Yvonne, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. They all give thanks for the life of a woman that they are so proud of, unique and extraordinary, who will be in their hearts forever.
The Craig family would like to thank the staff of the South West Acute Hospital and Omagh Hospital, Dean Kenneth Hall, SR Elliott Funeral Directors and the graveyards staff for all the care and consideration they gave to the family at this time.
Donations in lieu can be made if desired. Please make cheques payable to Palliative Care, WHSCT and post to SR Elliott Funeral Directors, Drumclay Park North, Irvinestown Road, Enniskillen BT74 6ND.
