THE MET Office has put in place a weather warning for parts of Northern Ireland including County Fermanagh.
The yellow weather warning is for snow and ice and in in place between 6pm tonight (Tuesday) and 10am tomorrow.
Snow and ice may bring some disruption from Tuesday evening and through Wednesday.
This warning has been classed as a medium likelihood and low-impact warning.
The Met Office’s warning of what to expect includes: “Some roads likely to be affected with longer journey times, some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces, probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.”
The Met Office has issued some guidance for those who are travelling in poor conditions in Winter.
Some of the guidance includes advice on what to have available in your car.
The Met Offices advises: “One of the priorities to pack when driving in Winter conditions is a fully-charged mobile phone for use in an emergency.
“You never know when you might get stuck or break down, and a fully-charged phone is the best way to call for help – obviously, not for use when driving.
“The other main things to consider include warm clothing and some food and water supplies in case you do break down and are stuck in the cold awaiting rescue.”
