There were 358 new cases of coronavirus recorded in Fermanagh and Omagh between Friday and Monday. In the same four day period there were three deaths recorded in Fermanagh and Omagh, the three dead were all males over the age of 80.
Across Northern Ireland, total positive cases increased sharply between Friday and Monday with a new total of 79,873 cases recorded across NI on Monday. This is a rise of 7,039 total cases in four days with 1,801 cases being recorded in the past 24 hours.
Breaking down Fermanagh by postal district from December 28 – January 3 2021 shows that all postal districts have seen an increase of positive cases with some Fermanagh postcodes doubling the number of positive cases. BT92 has 151 postivie cases (72 last week), BT74 has 127 positive cases (63 last week) , BT94 has 73 positive cases(55 last week) and BT93 has 79 positive cases (40 last week).
Fermanagh and Omagh currently has a seven day per 100k rate of 619.7. The number of positive cases in the district has almost doubled in past seven days. There are 724 positive cases in the last week compared to 380 from December 21-27. T
91 were aged 19 and under; 293 between 20 and 39; 203 between 40 and 59; 114 between 60 and 79 and 23 aged 80 and over.
There were 12 further deaths recorded in Northern Ireland in the past 24 hours bringing the total number of deaths to 1,354 across Northern Ireland.
South West Acute Hospital (SWAH) is operating over its capacity by 2.34 percent and across the Trusts there are 24 unoccupied beds in NI.
There are currently 89 Covid-19 in-patients in the Western Trust, with 29 of those at the SWAH. There have been 46 admissions and 43 discharges in the past seven days.
Across the Trusts, there are currently 513 Covid in-patients. The number of ICU Covid-occupied beds stands at 39, with one of those at the SWAH. 29 Covid patients are currently on ventilators.
Confirmed care home outbreaks are currently at 119 with 11 outbreaks across 71 homes in the Western Trust.
