Caritas mixed voice choir has raised a total of £1,256.63 for the Enniskillen Foodbank from their virtual Christmas concert.
‘Carols by Caritas’ – an hour-long Christmas concert featuring a collection of videos from previous concerts, was showcased virtually on Sunday, December 13 – during which the choir performed a special rendition of ‘Mid-Winter’, that was recorded by socially-distanced members.
Speaking to The Impartial Reporter this week about the fundraising success of the virtual concert, Caritas musical director Helen Hamill said: "We managed to gather £1,256.63 for Enniskillen Foodbank, which we are sincerely so delighted with."
"'Ubi Caritas et amor, Deus ibi est' - our title motto, translates as 'Where Charity and Love are, God is there.' So as a pro-bono choir we have in our quietest year since we sang in 2014 managed to raise our local charitable donations to almost £9,000," she added.
