A County Fermanagh man has been remanded in custody charged with attempted murder and possessing an offensive weapon, which relate to an incident earlier this week.
Christopher Boyle (23) from Main Street, Ballinamallard is accused of attempting to murder a male on February 11, while in possession of a knife with intent to commit an offence.
It is further alleged he assaulted a female causing actual bodily harm during the same incident.
He appeared before Dungannon Magistrates Court by video-link from police custody.
A detective constable said he could connect Boyle to all charges before the court.
No details of the incident were disclosed during the brief hearing, however the detective advised the investigation is still in the early stages and he hopes to have all witness interviews completed within two weeks.
There was no application for bail and District Judge Michael Ranaghan adjourned the case for mention at Enniskillen Magistrates Court next month.
