THERE were eight new cases of Coronavirus reported across Fermanagh and Omagh over the weekend, with five of these reported in the past 24 hours.
There were 240 cases reported across the whole of Northern Ireland (NI) in the past 24 hours by the Department of Health.
There are no Covid ICU patients in the South West Acute Hospital (SWAH) ICU, while across the rest of NI’s hospitals, there are 32 Covid patients in ICUs, with 22 on ventilators.
According to the latest data, there are 43 Covid-19 in-patients across the Western Trust, while across all hospitals in NI, there are 222 such in-patients.
There are 10 Covid-19 in-patients in the SWAH.
The data shows that there were again no deaths recorded in Fermanagh and Omagh, with the last Covid-related death in the district recorded on February 20, which brought the death toll to 83.
Across NI, the death toll stands at 2,079 people; there were two Covid-19 deaths in the past 24 hours.
Fermanagh and Omagh continues to have a low seven-day rate of positive Covid cases.
Some 38 people have tested positive locally in the past week, which is a rate of 32.5, compared to the previous seven-day rate of 41.9.
Of these 43 cases, 10 were aged 19 and under; 12 were aged between 20 and 39; 9 were between 40 and 59; six were between 60 and 79, and one was aged 80 and over.
From March 1-8, postal districts in Fermanagh recorded low covid-positive cases, with BT92 having three; BT74 seeing four; BT94 seeing one; and BT93 also recording one case.
There were 18 confirmed active care home outbreaks as of March 8 – a reduction of eight outbreaks compared to the previous seven days.
