Cases of coronavirus in those aged 60 plus has continued to remain low, there have been no positive cases in those aged 80 plus in the district for the past two weeks.

 The district has the lowest rate per 100 thousand in Northern Ireland at 36.8 from March 12-18 which equates to 43 cases in the last seven-day period.

Out of those 43 cases 12 were aged 19 and under; 14 between 20 and 39; 13 between the ages of 40 and 59; four were aged between 60 and 79 with no cases reported in people aged 80 or over.

In the last 24 hours there were five positive cases in the council area bringing the total number to 5,670. They were among the 137 cases reported across Northern Ireland. The Northern Ireland total is now at 115,648.

Three further deaths was reported bringing the total to 2,103. Fermanagh and Omagh death toll remain at 83 with no deaths being reported since February 20.

From March 8-14, postal districts in Fermanagh recorded low Covid-positive cases, with BT92 and BT74 having four; BT94 having two; and BT93 recording zero cases of Covid-19 in the past seven days.

According to the latest data, there are 35 Covid-19 in-patients across the Western Trust, while across all hospitals in NI, there are 166 such in-patients.

There are 12 Covid-19 in-patients in the South West Acute Hospital (SWAH) while there are no Covid-19 patients being treated in ICU in the SWAH.

There are 16 Covid-19 ICU patients across NI; 14 of whom are ventilated.

As of March 19 there are eight confirmed active Covid outbreaks in care homes a decrease of six compared with the previous seven days.
