WITH some great Easter weather across much of last weekend, people of all ages were out enjoying some socially-distanced fresh air and sunshine at Florence Court when The Impartial Reporter called by.
Besides people out with their family and pets, another reason to head to the National Trust property was an Easter nature trail, which proved very popular with children and families.
The trail took in a number of natural landmarks and points of interest within the sprawling grounds of the beautifully maintained estate, which invited leisurely walkers – and eager children – to make their way around and see what they could discover.
However, whether people were following along and exploring the Easter nature trail or not, there was still plenty to see and enjoy in the bright spring sunshine, before the chillier weather that came along later in the long bank holiday weekend made its presence felt.
While the National Trust had curbed a number of its traditional Easter events at Florence Court and other properties across Fermanagh and Northern Ireland, the body was still delighted to see plenty of people at least able to enjoy the grounds, and take in the sights.
Although children may not have spotted any Easter bunny hopping about, they still had plenty of fun with their parents and other family members and friends, while some people had cleverly brought along a picnic to make the most of the lovely weather and pleasant surroundings.
While everyone is eagerly hoping for lockdown restrictions to ease, everyone The Impartial Reporter spoke to agreed that their Easter visit to Florence Court had provided a cracking good day out.
