The Department of Health's daily update has recorded three positive Covid-19 cases in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area in the past 24 hours, bringing the total locally to 5,812. There were eight new cases of the virus recorded in the district on Saturday, and three new cases on Sunday, according to the latest data.
The area remains the least Covid-affected out of all council areas in Northern Ireland (NI) in positive cases as well as deaths. There were no deaths recorded locally, and no deaths recorded across NI in the period.
The total number of deaths recorded in NI now stands at 2,129 people, with positive cases recorded at 118,364. The seven-day rate per 100,000 people in the district remains low, at 26.3, but this is an increase on Friday’s figure of 16.3.
There were 30 positive cases in the past week. Out of those, four were aged 19 and under; 11 were between the ages of 20 and 39; 11 were between 40 and 59; and four were aged between 60 and 79.
No postcodes in Fermanagh recorded zero new cases in the past seven days (April 5-11). The BT93 area recorded one new case; BT74 four; BT94 two, and BT92 eight.
There are 20 Covid-19 in-patients across the Western Trust area, with seven in the South West Acute Hospital (SWAH). There are eight Covid patients in ICU across NI, with six of them ventilated. There is one Covid ICU patient in the SWAH. The bed occupancy in NI hospitals is at 96 per cent, according to Monday’s update, with the SWAH operating at 101.76 per cent of its bed capacity.
As of April 12, there were five confirmed Covid-19 outbreaks in care homes across NI. The five separate outbreaks are all asymptomatic.
