THE Northern Ireland Air Ambulance (NIAS) was tasked to Fermanagh yesterday (Wednesday) following a road traffic collision near Maguiresbridge.
A NIAS spokesperson said: "We received a 999 call at 4.24pm on Wednesday, April 21 following reports of a road traffic collision at Gardiners Cross Road, Maguiresbridge.
"NIAS despatched two emergency crews, one officer and one rapid response paramedic to the scene. The charity Air Ambulance with HEMs crew on board was also tasked to the incident.
"Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Hospital [Belfast] while one other patient was taken to the South West Acute Hospital by ambulance."
PSNI officers were quickly on the scene and closed the road, before re-opening it yesterday evening.
