AN EDERNEY man accused of indecent assault of a male over 30 years ago has been returned for trial.
Martin Peter McDonagh, with an address of High Street, Ederney appeared at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday and is charged with four counts of indecent assault and also one count of gross indecency towards a child.
The charges relate to incidents which took place on dates between July 4, 1983 and July 5, 1987 and involve the same male each time.
A Public Prosecution Service representative told the court there was a case to answer and District Judge Steven Keown agreed.
McDonagh spoke only to confirm he had no objections to the holding of a preliminary enquiry and that he did not wish to give evidence or call witnesses at that time.
McDonagh was released on his own bail of £500 and is due to appear again in Dungannon Crown Court on May 25.
