Sinn Féin MLA Jemma Dolan has tabled a debate in the Assembly calling on the Minister for Infrastructure to act upon the Enniskillen by-pass and the A4 upgrade.
Speaking about the debate, to be held next Tuesday 11th May, Jemma Dolan said;
"Fermanagh residents have waited long enough for the Enniskillen by-pass and upgrades to the A4.
"Enniskillen needs the by-pass as a matter of urgency. Roads Service have done great work in getting the project shovel ready.
"Now the Department of Infrastructure must invest the capital to complete it. Fermanagh has been neglected for too long.
"The A4 runs from Ballygawley to Enniskillen and than continues on to Belcoo.
"In my opinion the A4 from Ballygawley to Enniskillen needs to be upgraded to Dual Carriageway.
"This would improve road safety, reduce travel times and benefit Fermanagh's local economy.
"The road from Enniskillen to Belcoo is a gateway to Sligo and the Northwest. It needs major investment from the Department.
"Fermanagh doesn't have one mile of Dual Carriageway or Railway. We are not getting a fair allocation of the Department of Infrastructure's budget.
"This must change and I will be highlighting this next Tuesday on the floor of the Assembly. The Minister must listen."
