Drugs worth approximately £20,000 were seized by police in the Newtownbutler area of the county on Monday.
Officers conducted a search of a property in the area and seized 42 adult plants and equipment used to cultivate cannabis. A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis and possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply. He is currently in custody assisting officers with their enquiries.
Inspector Darryl Johnston said: “This was a significant discovery by officers working to keep the community safe. Our investigation is ongoing and anyone who has information that could assist us should contact police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference number 1744 of 10/05/21. Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
