A FERMANAGH man will stand trial in Belfast Crown Court later this year on a charge of attempting to murder a police officer in 2019.
Peter Thomas Granaghan (40), of Blackrock Park, Belleek, pleaded not guilty to the charges of attempting to murder a serving member of the PSNI between May 31 and June 2, 2019; unlawfully and maliciously making an under-vehicle improvised explosive device between June 1, 2018 and June 2, 2019; and the possession of an improvised device with the intent to endanger life.
The defendant appeared before the judge to confirm his name and identity, and to plead not guilty to three charges.
A trial date has been set for August 31. Granaghan was remanded back into custody.
