WELL-KNOWN Fermanagh funnyman Gary Wilson has recorded a new DVD especially for residents of every nursing and residential home in Northern Ireland.
Gary said: “Over the past 12 months the residents of these homes have been deprived of so many of the little luxuries we all take for granted, especially their regular entertainment.”
He continued: “With this in mind, I decided I could, hopefully, bring a bit of fun to them all by recording a DVD of jokes, stories and song.”
The project was made possible by the financial support of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and all 500 homes will receive their complimentary copy in the coming weeks.
Gary, who like many other entertainers has been under ‘curfew’ for many months and missing the stage and his audiences, said excitedly: “This project allowed me to ply my trade on stage for the first time in nearly a year. and I hope it brings a little happiness to many of our good folk who deserve a laugh.”
