A FAMILY of four had a sudden awakening in the early hours of Thursday morning when a car left the Shore Road, Enniskillen, ploughed through a wooden fence and hedge and careered into the front wall of their house.
The car, which was being driven in the direction of Enniskillen, first struck the outside wall of a bedroom where a seven-year-old girl was sleeping, and came to rest inches from the children’s swing in the porch.
There was considerable damage to the car involved in the crash, and to the house at Dunbar. The driver was not thought to be seriously injured.
The family were this week reflecting on what could have happened, if this type of accident occurred during the day.
The police were this week investigating the crash.
