Enniskillen native Adrian Dunbar is playing himself as a cast member of a new crime drama as he stars in the recent instalment of BBC series, ‘Inside No. 9’.
Created by Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith, the anthology of darkly comic twisted tales – each one taking place behind a door marked ‘number nine’ – is now in its sixth series.
In episode four of the latest series, entitled ‘Hurry Up and Wait’, actor James (Reece Shearsmith) is waiting for his big moment on the set of ITV’s prestigious new crime drama, which stars Adrian as the lead.
The holding area should be the ideal place to relax and go over all three of his lines – except he’s actually in a static caravan owned by Oona (Pauline McLynn) and Stan (Steve Pemberton).
The more he learns about this couple and their strange daughter, the more disconcerted he becomes.
The episode aired on BBC Two at 9.30pm on Bank Holiday Monday, May 31, but is available to watch via BBC iPlayer.
