A STELLAR line-up has just been announced for ‘Jamboree at the Castle’, the second live music show to be hosted by Rocky Top Productions in the grounds of Castle Irvine, Necarne, taking place in mid-July.
The concert, which spans July 10 and 11, will see a range of popular Country and Folk artists take to the open-air stage, which will be set against the backdrop of the historic Irvinestown castle.
Monies raised from the two shows will be donated to Action Mental Health, New Horizons in Enniskillen.
‘Jamboree at the Castle’ comes following the success of ‘The Castle Country Drive-Inn’ back at the start of May – the first socially-distanced show of its kind to take place at Castle Irvine, and which featured live performances from Country music artists Gerry Guthrie, Stefan Walker, Patricia Maguire, Chrissy Mac and his band, and more.
Starting on Saturday, July 10, the show will feature performances from Mick Flavin, Stuart Moyles and Matt Leavy, not forgetting Fermanagh’s own The Tumbling Paddies.
Sunday, July 11 will see more live entertainment in the castle grounds. The Voice contestant John Rafferty will perform live on the day, as well as Stefan Walker, Gareth Pritchard, Seany Mac, Vincy Walmsley and The Benn Sisters.
Popular Country and Folk band The Logues will headline the Sunday night, and will be sure to bring the weekend to a close with an energetic and upbeat performance.
Popular local comedian and entertainer Gary Wilson will compere on both nights.
Rocky Top Productions is a local music and events promoter from Ballinamallard that is run by Andrew Crawford, who started the small business during lockdown with the aim of keeping people entertained whilst isolating at home due to the pandemic.
His online radio show, ‘Andy’s Country Hits’, was aired on Facebook and Zoom platforms every Sunday evening from 8pm, and proved very popular.
Action Mental Health, New Horizons are celebrating 30 years serving the local community. Andrew and the team said that they are “really looking forward to supporting this very worthwhile cause”, particularly after the impact the pandemic has had on many a person’s mental health over the past 12 months.
The show is an open-air walk-in and drive-in event and will be complying with all Covid-19 measures in place at the time of the event.
Due to these measures, tickets will be limited and can be purchased directly from Andrew or from Mahon’s Hotel, or via the website, We Got Tickets.
