A group of friends from Belleek completed a very special challenge with the aim of raising funds for SWAH Critical Care and Emergency Departments.
The idea came after seeing reports about how pressured the departments have been over recent months and the Fermanagh men decided to try and help out.
Gareth Deery, joined friends Ben Mc Cann, Micahel Óg McGarrigle, Damon Mullane, Rory McGarrigle and Shane Mimna in hosting a ‘Shave or Dye’ fundraiser, where they gained sponsorship to either shave or dye their hair.
Speaking about the event Gareth said: “Having seen hospitals come under severe pressure in the last few months, we believe people should get together and try to raise much needed funds for them, so we came up with the Shave or Dye idea and in total we raised £2,802.44.”
The friends donated the money to the Critical Care Department at SWAH, where they were thanked for their efforts by members of staff.
