Four notable citizens of the local area have been bestowed an honour by Her Majesty the Queen in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.
They are Major John Marshall Dunlop who has been awarded an MBE for services to Cross Border Peace Building and the community in County Fermanagh.
Mr. John George Burrell has been awarded an MBE for services to the community in Fivemiletown.
Mrs. Breege McCusker has been awarded a BEM for services to World War II History in County Fermanagh.
Chief Inspector Rory Hoy has been awarded an MBE for his services as a police officer for 27 years. During this time he has worked tirelessly within the Fermanagh area building public confidence and trust within the local community.
