A LACK schoolgirl has become a bit of a celebrity among her classmates after winning a Province-wide art competition.
Seven-year-old Tracey Britton, a P3 pupil at Lack Primary School, designed a fire safety poster which came top in the Northern Ireland Fire Brigade’s “Welephant’s Smokebuster Fire Safety Competition”.
Not only has Tracey achieved fame among her schoolmates, but her talented youngster, a daughter of George and Nan Bratton, has also become a bit of celebrity in the media world - having appeared on television and in newspapers. Her eye-catching design, which included a motto, warning people to keep a guard in front of the fire, collected Tracey an award for herself and her school received a full collection of Ladybird educational games.
