TWO men have been returned for trial on charges relating to an alleged kidnapping in which the victim claims she was assaulted and threatened.
Appearing for a committal hearing were Carl Maguire (32) of Cliften Street, Belfast, but currently remanded in custody, and Padraig Cathal Gallagher (30), of Castle Street, Omagh, who are jointly charged with taking the victim by force and against her will, as well as assaulting and threatening to kill her.
Maguire is further accused of possessing ammunition and possessing explosive substances, namely napalm, potassium nitrate, sulphur, charcoal, match heads and aluminium oxide.
It is also alleged he robbed the victim of her mobile phone, cultivated and possessed cannabis, and dishonestly used a quantity of electricity.
All matters relate to an incident in the Alderwood Road area of Fivemiletown on May 21, 2020.
A prosecuting lawyer told Dungannon Magistrates Court there is a case to answer, which was agreed by District Judge Michael Ranaghan.
Both accused declined to call witnesses or give evidence on their own behalf at this stage in proceedings.
Judge Ranaghan remanded Maguire in continuing custody and Gallagher on bail to appear before Dungannon Crown Court for arraignment on September 7.
