One of the many events that people can look forward to at this year’s Lady of the Lake festival in Irvinestown is the numerous music events which will take place both in person and online.
Some of the most exciting events will take place in the Necarne Estate. Andrew Crawford, Rocky Top Productions spoke to The Impartial Reporter about some of the planned events.
The two major concerts which are taking place are the Saturday and Sunday night ‘Jamboree at the Castle’ concerts at Castle Necarne.
Monies raised from the two shows will be donated to Action Mental Health, New Horizons in Enniskillen.
Speaking on the event, Andrew said: “They are uncapped walk-in and drive-in open-air concerts. It’s great to see music happen at Necarne. The whole place is coming alive down there thanks to the Keys family. Instead of the concerts being in the wall garden this time we are going with the background of the castle itself so we are looking forward to having something completely different.”
Mick Flavin, Stuart Moyles, Matt Leavy, Barry Kirwan, Alanna Maher, Aidan Clerkin, Barry Doyle and The Tumbling Paddies will be keeping things lively for the open air concerts on Saturday night and the headline act on Sunday night will be The Logues who will be jointed by John Rafferty, Stefan Walker, Gareth Pritchard, The Benn Sisters, Vincy Walmsley, and Seany Mac. Music will run from 7.30pm- 10.30pm with gates opening at 6.30pm. Both events will be hosted by compere Gary Wilson.
Looking forward to the event, Andrew said: “It should be a good weekend for all ages because we have a mix of country and folk and it will appeal to people both young and old.”
Another bit of entertainment that will be sure to delight both the young and the old will be DJ Rockstar Conor McCann hosting an online disco on Saturday night. The disco will kick off at 10pm and everyone is encouraged to dress up, get their glow sticks out and party on virtually. The Disco will be accessible via Conor’s Facebook page and the Rockstar's Online Community Bingo
On Sunday evening, Conor will again take to the online world and will host an online bingo.
