Air Ambulance Northern Ireland (AANI) have thanked the public for their great generosity in raising £2174 on Saturday, June 19 during a street collection in Enniskillen.
A spokesperson perform AANI said: “ On average two call outs have been made by the Air Ambulance each day. In total to date since it was first launched in July 2017 there has been 2,144 taskings. The team had their busiest period ever from January till March 2021 with 229 call outs. An increase of 30 percent compared to the same period in 2020.
“Volunteering has been limited since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic. However, A number of events are now organised including a Dragon Boat Race on the River Lagan and a few abseils confirmed for September and December. More information can be found on their Air Ambulance NI Facebook Page and anyone would like to give a regular donation of as little as £2 per week they can join the Club AANI by either joining through their Facebook page or calling the team on 02892622677.”
