PUPILS from Florencecourt Primary School, with support of the PSNI and the National Trust at Florence Court House, recently held a 'Cycle/Walk to School' event.
Some 100 pupils from P1 to P7 classes assembled on the National Trust estate amid glorious sunshine, ready to travel to the school which lies approximately half a mile away.
Members of the National Trust and PSNI were in attendance to help manage the event.
School Principal David Coffey said: "We are indebted to the PSNI and the National Trust for their help in making this activity possible.
"National 'Walk to School' week usually takes place each May and aims to encourage healthy lifestyles amongst children.
"When I mentioned in conversation with our Neighbourhood PSNI Officer that we would love to take part, the level of support we received was fantastic.
"They liaised with the very kind folks in the National Trust, and our children had a truly amazing experience as a result.
"Riding alongside the PSNI motorbike was a big hit with our pupils!"
