The sun shone brightly in Fermanagh today as a total of seven Twelfth of July parades took place in towns and villages across the county.
Traditionally the Twelfth of July sees one large demonstration take place in the county however it was decided this year that due to the pandemic, there would be multiple parades to accommodate more people. The seven parades included Enniskillen, Ballinamallard, Brookeborough, Monea, Maguiresbridge, Magheraveely and Kesh, with good attendance at each from local Orange Lodges and bands.
In Enniskillen the streets were lined with spectators as representatives from over 20 Orange Lodges and around 11 bands paraded around the town, starting at Enniskillen Castle at 12noon with a short service prior.
Speaking to The Impartial Reporter at the parade in Enniskillen today (July 12), County Grand Secretary Alan Elliott said it was "great to be back out again".
"It's a wee bit of normality of sorts but we're looking forward to getting back to one big demonstration again."
