A NUMBER of refugees attended the special exhibition of works on the theme of peace building that was held in St. Macartin’s Cathedral, Enniskillen recently.
Entitled ‘Tears of Gold’, the exhibition – hosted by Enniskillen Rotary Club, with the support of Rotary Ireland – was marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations and Rotary International’s supporting work in its formation.
Works by artist Hannah Rose Thomas were presented throughout the exhibition, highlighting some of the refugees and human stories that she has experienced through her years of work with people in troubled spots across the world, helping to tell some of their experiences.
Syrian refugees from across the Enniskillen and Omagh region attended the exhibition, taking part in a series of art workshops at the cathedral, keen to see Hannah’s work, which they and other guests and attendees highly praised.
