A LOCAL adventure activity provider is calling the loss of three canoes "devastating" after the boats were stolen from Enniskillen some time between Sunday night and Monday morning.
Blue Green Yonder, which provides water adventure activities across the Fermanagh area and are currently hosting summer youth programmes, had secured their canoes – one Green Hou Prospector (two-seater), and two Green Riber Prospector (four-seaters) – at 8.30pm on Sunday, July 18, but they discovered to be missing by 8.30am on Monday, July 19.
Caolan Faux, of Blue Green Yonder, said: "Obviously their loss is devastating as these canoes were heavily relied on in the delivery of our various youth programmes, many of which are not for profit."
The stolen canoes have been reported to the PSNI. A PSNI spokeswoman said: "Police are appealing for information following the theft of canoes from the Shore Road area of Enniskillen.
"A report was received that three canoes had been taken from the water activity zone in the Regal Pass Jetty area some time between 8pm on Sunday, July 18 and 8am on Monday, July 19.
"Anyone who may have witnessed anything, or who may have any information in relation to the incident, is asked to contact police at 101, quoting reference number 2357 of 19/07/21.”
Alternatively, information can also be provided by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
