Two Fermanagh GAA clubs have suspended club activity due to Covid cases being detected within their clubs.
Erne Gaels and Tempo Maguires have both suspended activity as a result of the virus’s detection.
A statement on Facebook from Tempo Maguires released on Sunday evening said: "The Executive Committee have decided to suspend all club activity, with immediate effect, in light of some Covid cases arising within the club.
"We have a duty to keep our community safe, and by suspending all activity, it is hoped we can halt any further spread.
"The situation will be carefully monitored over the coming days and the suspension will be lifted once deemed safe enough to do so."
Echoing that sentiment, Erne Gaels’s statement posted on Facebook said: "The Executive Committee have decided to suspend all club activity until further notice due to some Covid cases arising within the club.
"Our main priority is to keep our community safe and that of our coaches, players and volunteers in the club, and by suspending all activity, it is hoped we can halt any further spread.”
Erne Gaels further posted that it would also carefully monitor the situation, and would also lift the suspension once it is safe to do so.
