Responding to queries posed by The Impartial Reporter today, Wednesday, the Council spokesman said: "The swimming pool at Fermanagh Lakeland Forum is currently closed to the public due to a chemical imbalance in the pool water.
"Our engineers are working to find a solution as quickly as possible; however, due to the volume of water involved, it may take some time to correct."
The spokesman went on to clarify that the pool will not reopen "until the issue is rectified".
He continued: "Swimming lessons will be re-scheduled; however, customers will be offered a refund should they not wish to avail of the rescheduled lessons.
"We will keep all our customers informed of the situation on the Council and venue website, and on social media.
"Fermanagh and Omagh District Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused as a consequence of the closure," he added.
