AN ENNISKILLEN man has been returned for trial in the Crown Court to face charges of historical indecent assault.
Michael McBride (76), with an address of Beech Hill, Enniskillen, is alleged to have indecently assaulted a male on three occasions between January 1, 1961, and December 31, 1961.
Appearing via videolink at Enniskillen Magistrates Court from his solicitor’s office on Monday, McBride did not object to the holding of a preliminary enquiry.
A Public Prosecution Service representative told the court there was a case to answer for McBride, with District Judge Steven Keown agreeing.
At the short hearing, McBride replied “No” when asked if he wanted to give evidence, or call witnesses to give evidence or statements on his behalf.
McBride was released on bail of £500, to appear at Dungannon Crown Court on September 16.
