A Fermanagh man who has been charged with the attempted murder of an off-duty police officer in Belfast has been refused bail
Peter Thomas Granaghan (40) of Blackrock Park, Belleek was refused bail for no specified reason in Belfast Crown Court on Wednesday August 11.
Granaghan was arrested after a bomb was found under an off-duty police officer’s vehicle parked outside a golf club in east Belfast in 2019.
Granaghan faces three charges dating back to 2019. His charges are; attempted murder of a serving member of the Police Service of Northern Ireland on a date between May 31 2019 and June 2 2019. Making explosives with intent to endanger life or cause serious injury on a date unknown between June 1 2018 and June 2, 2019 and possessing explosives with the intent to endanger life or cause serious injury.
Granaghan is currently on remand in Maghaberry Prison.
