OVER the summer period The FIND Centre hosted two summer schemes for young people aged 11 to 15.
The aim of the summer schemes was to facilitate young people enjoying a variety of fun activities as well as participating in workshops promoting positive mental health.
Particularly after the impact of Covid-19 and lockdown on young people and their mental health saw isolation became a significant issue, the summer schemes allowed them to express themselves through a variety of activities.
The Autism Support Scheme which took place throughout August, was funded by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and supported by the Public Health Agency (PHA).
The scheme culminated in an end of summer celebration BBQ held in the centre attended by its young people, staff, volunteers and the vice-chair of the Council, Chris McCaffrey.
The FIND Centre in Enniskillen provides a safe social space for young people between the ages of 11 to 18.
In addition, the service, funded by the PHA, provides a signposting/supported referral for young people on a range of issues.
