Tonight's episode of a new travel series following actor Siobhán McSweeney as she adventures around Northern Ireland will feature areas of Fermanagh, as the ‘Derry Girls’ star explores the lakeland county.
Prior to filming the hit comedy show, Derry Girls, Siobhán had barely set foot in Northern Ireland. After falling in love with the landscape she’s taken to her electric bike to explore more of the lakes, mountains, coastline and forests for the new four-part series by Waddell Media, ‘Exploring Northern Ireland with Siobhán McSweeney’.
In episode three, Siobhán visits Fermanagh, abandoning her electric bike for a hydrobike to explore the island town of Enniskillen. She descends underground to experience the caves of a National Geopark, steps closer to heaven on the Cuilcagh Mountain Boardwalk, goes native at the Beaghmore Stone Circles, and discovers the ancient monuments of Lough Erne. During her visit to the county's island town, the Derry Girls star meets with Enniskillen local Catherine Scott, where they chat over a drink in the ladies snug of Blakes Of The Hollow pub.
