Hospital campaigners in Fermanagh have issued an appeal to everybody in the county to pick up a pen and write to the Department of Health.
Fermanagh Against the Closure of the Erne (FACE) said it was calling on every person, in every town, village and hamlet to do their bit for future health care in Enniskillen.
Launching the FACE postcard campaign at the Millcroft nursing home in Enniskillen, spokesman Raymond Farrel said it would be the senior citizens and children who had most to lose if the new hospital recommended in the Hayes report were lost to another region of the west.
Champions of an Enniskillen site for the new hospital have warned the recommendations were no guarantee that the hospital would remain within the county, and it would be the 16,000 strong population in the south west of the county that would lose out.
