The Queen Elizabeth Road will be partially closed for two weeks from tomorrow (Thursday, September 30). The temporary closure of the westbound lane on the road in Enniskillen town centre – from September 30 to October 14 – is to facilitate works to the footpaths, carried out as part of the Enniskillen Public Realm Scheme. A spokesman for Fermanagh and Omagh District Council advised road users: “Vehicles are able to enter the town via the right turn onto East Bridge Street from Queen Elizabeth Road and exit the town via the left turn onto Belmore Street from Queen Elizabeth Road. “We apologise for any inconvenience caused.” The Enniskillen Public Realm project is an environmental improvement scheme comprising proposed high-quality paving, kerbing, surface water drainage, signage, planting/landscape design, street furniture, lighting (including festive lighting), and consideration of event space and potential locations for public art work or equivalent structure
