The recently opened new facilities of the Enniskillen Model School hosted a visit by Education Authority chairperson Barry Mulholland and the Director of Estates, Dale Hanna.

The two men were taken on a school tour and shown the new facilities of the building.

The Model School has changed buildings a number of times in its history with this newest building incorporating the original school which has previously housed the old District Office.

The visitors took in various parts of the school including, the new Library which is nearing final completion. The Library is considered an important focal point in the school and overlooks the inner courtyard. They also visited the main foyer and offices.

One of the things that makes the school unique is that of all of the interiors were designed by a classroom assistant in the school, Mrs Cassells.

Visitors also visited the new music room which has been located upstairs in the listed part of the building.
