Taoiseach Micheál Martin is to attend the Remembrance Day service in Enniskillen on Sunday, November 14, The Impartial Reporter understands.

The Taoiseach will join invited Government, Civic and Armed Forces representatives, other VIPs and the Royal British Legion to mark the Act of Remembrance at the Cenotaph.

Remembrance Day parades and services are to take place across the district on Sunday.

Enniskillen Royal British Legion is filming and live-streaming the Act of Remembrance Ceremony at the Cenotaph which can be accessed through the St. Macartin’s Cathedral website (at www.enniskillencathedral.com) from 10.45am.

The ceremony will be immediately followed at 11.30am by the Royal British Legion Service of Remembrance, which will take place in St. Macartin’s Cathedral, led by The Very Rev. Kenneth Hall.

The parade in Brookeborough will gather at 10.30am, ready to step off at 10.45am. There will be an open air service at the War Memorial at 11am, followed by the return parade.

In Fivemiletown, members and youth groups are asked to gather at Fivemiletown Royal British Legion for 2.30pm.

There will be a short Act of Remembrance and wreath-laying ceremony at 2.45pm. This will be followed by the parade.

The parade in Irvinestown will assemble at 2pm, moving off at 2.30pm. It will stop at Sacred Heart Church and the Cross of Sacrifice at Irvinestown Church of Ireland, followed by the wreath laying and then a parade of the town. The service will take place at the Church of Ireland at 3.30pm.

In Ballinamallard, the parade will gather at the flagpole at 10.45am to move off at 11am. The parade will move through the village towards Ballinamallard Methodist Church, where the Remembrance Day service will start at 11.30am. The service will be followed by the return parade. There will also be a Remembrance Day service in Magheracross Parish Church at 11am.

This year, there will be no parade in Lisnaskea. The Remembrance Day service will start at 10.30am at Lisnaskea Holy Trinity Church of Ireland, with the Act of Remembrance taking place towards the end of the service.
