POLICE in Fermanagh are appealing for witnesses into an assault which occurred at the weekend.
The victim of the assault was attacked by several males in the central Diamond area of Enniskillen in the early hours of Sunday morning, November 14.
The victim was punched in the head and has said he had “homophobic slurs” shouted at him.
Speaking on behalf of the PSNI, Inspector Tate said: “At approximately 3.30am [on November 14] a man in his twenties was assaulted.
"The victim said that they had been attacked by several males, and received punches to his head. The victim also had homophobic slurs shouted at him.
“Our enquiries are continuing and we are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault to contact police at 101, quoting reference number 349 14/11/21.
"Alternatively, information can be provided to Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111, or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org."
