The Fermanagh Lakeland Forum has been stood down as a Coronavirus mass vaccination centre, with the centre closing for appointments on Saturday. All other mass vaccination centres in the Western Trust will close this week.
A spokesperson for the Western Trust said: “This week sees the closure of all three of our Mass Vaccination Centres (MVCs) across the Western Trust area as we move to the next stage in our vaccine programme.
“The MVCs have played a crucial role over the past 12 months, with 80 per cent of all jabs administered by the Western Trust having been given at an MVC.
“Over the coming weeks and months, the focus will change to an extensive programme of mobile vaccination clinics, taking the vaccine to people within their own localities, specifically aimed at those who may not have availed of the vaccination or booster programme so far.
“Please keep an eye on our social media channels, local press and other outlets for details. For the latest information see bit.ly/WTCOVID19Vaccination.
“Finally, we would urge anyone who is eligible for a jab – whether that is a first, second or booster jab – to please avail of the opportunity to do so.
“Booked appointments and walk-ins will be accommodated at each of our clinics, and we would ask everyone to play their part in helping to protect themselves, their family and their community from Covid-19.”
