Police in Fermanagh have confirmed that after attending the Gardiners Cross Road this morning (February 2) following reports of an oil spill, there was "no sign of any oil".
A PSNI spokeswoman said: "Police received a report of an oil spill on the Gardiners Cross Road area of Tempo this morning shortly before 6.40am.
"Officers attended and there was no sign of any oil. The road remains open."
Previously, in a post to the Traffic Watch NI website, which was last updated at 7.50am this morning (February 2), a Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson highlighted that the PSNI were reporting an oil spill approximately one mile in length on the Gardiners Cross Road leaving Tempo towards Maguiresbridge.
"Extra care needed until we can check this out and treat," said the DfI spokesperson.
