ARTIST Glen Harron had to race against the clock to complete the biggest painting job of his life.
The 19-year-old was given just four and a half days to transform the grey walls of Adventure World and the Castle Entertainment Centre into colourful scenes from Rudyard Kipling’s ‘Jungle Book’. However, he rose to the challenge and with the help of friends, Kevin Trainor and Paul Doherty, produced the perfect background for a children’s adventure.
Glen explained that he had only started work as a mechanic at the entertainment complex when the opportunity arose for him to demonstrate his artistic talents.
He said the painting of murals comes naturally to him, provided he has a photograph or picture out of a book from which to work.
The mural was complete in time for the opening day.
